The Bass Rock, North Berwick.
Finally some sunshine (albeit freezing winds!) meant we could get out as planned today to Tantallon Castle which gave me an excellent opportunity to snap the Bass Rock. I’ve already got several shots of this using an old compact camera – but they never came out too well. Today, with the fantastic sunshine and my telephoto lens (75-300mm) I was able to finally get a shot I was looking for. Slightly tweaked the colours in PS to bring out the blues a bit more but generally very happy with this shot.
I think today was probably going to be one of the easier days on the project. Having specifically gone out to use my camera meant the only difficulty today was chosing a shot I liked. Tantallon Castle was a great location and allowed me to get some really good shots, and being so close the Bass Rock was an added bonus. We then travelled into North Berwick for more of a wander (and a cuppa to get warmed up!) and the excellent lighting conditions prevailed and I was able to get some more good shots on the beach. I’m going to post a separate post and post a few of those other pictures shortly. So far so good! Lets see what tomorrow brings – should be slightly harder as I’ll be working all day – maybe lunchtime will give me a chance to get some shots!
Thanks for reading peeps.
